About the Role: We are working in partnership with an innovative alternative provision school in Hertford to recruit a dedicated and dynamic KS3 Teacher to join their team in September. This full-time position is ideal for a passionate educator who can teach either Science or English and is looking to make a significant impact on students who require an alternative to mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons in Science or English for KS3 students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support students’ individual learning needs and development.
  • Collaborate with school colleagues to enhance the curriculum and school initiatives.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student progress.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and participate in extracurricular activities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Science or English at KS3 level.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students with varied educational needs.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in alternative provision or SEN settings.
  • Knowledge of strategies to support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
